@ Take your home improvement skills to the next level with this two-day Framing Basics class. Designed for participants ready to tackle larger projects, this class introduces the core concepts and hands-on skills needed for residential framing. Day 1: (February 6 from 11 AM- 2 PM) Participants will learn the anatomy of a wall, common framing terms, and important safety considerations when working at this scale. Through guided, hands-on practice, you’ll become familiar with the tools and techniques used to frame a wall or small stand-alone structure, building the confidence needed to approach framing projects in your own home. Day 2: (February 7 from 11 AM- 2 PM) Move into full-scale, hands-on framing practice. In this session, participants will frame life-size wall units with openings for doors and windows, closely mirroring real-world home projects. Instruction focuses on safe material handling, proper tool use, and accurate measuring techniques. You’ll learn how to square a frame, keep walls level and plumb, and understand the methods that ensure a strong, well-built structure. By the end, you’ll have practical experience framing walls with confidence and precision. Pre-registration is required. You must be 18 years or older to participate.
