While the music scene continues to be more compartmental and genre specific, Blü Egyptian refuses to be put in a box. The jamband moniker doesn’t even scratch the surface of the infinite influences that have evolved into an undefinable sound. At any given moment, Blü Egyptian can shift from infectious rhythms to soulful melodies while filling the dancefloor with captivating vibes. Right when you think you figured out their sound, they’ll switch it up and keep you guessing. Emerging from the heart of Northern California, Blü Egyptian continues to play for growing audiences in the West from playing festivals like High Sierra, Golden Road Gathering, Oregon Country Fair and June Lake Jam Fest to supporting national touring acts such as Melvin Seals & JGB, Dogs in a Pile, Dizgo, Pink Talking Fish, Sunsquabi and The Mother Hips. Blü Egyptian continues to blow minds with their ever evolving sound with an eclectic blend of Rock, Funk, Reggae, Bluegrass, and Electronica, creating unique segues from catchy original tunes to timeless covers. While continuously touring and playing festivals, the band made time to record their fourth album of all original music during the summer at Heirloom Studios in Chico, CA under the guidance of Dave Elke with a release date to be announced soon. “Blü Egyptian emerges as a DIY collective determined to stand up for what they believe in—hosting the most intense dance party known to humankind.” – Gratefulweb.com “This young quartet from Chico are on a skyward trajectory as one of the hottest up-and-coming bands in Nor Cal.” – Tyler Blue, Crazy Horse Saloon “This band is mind-blowing. Total 10 out of 10, one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.” – R.P., Mrs. Olsen’s in Ventura “Blü Egyptian is a ridiculously fantastic band.” – J. J. at Sky Bar Tucson “Opening for Dogs In A Pile, they blew the lid off the place. They always rock.” J.C. at Felton Music Hall
