**On Second Thought…** *Musings in music by jazz composer and arranger Steve Owen* Join **Steve Owen** and bandmates **Greg Goebel, Tyler Abbott,** and **Jason Palmer** for an evening of original music inspired by human nature, our shared experiences, and the world we find ourselves in today. **Steve Owen** saxophone **Greg Goebel** piano **Tyler Abbott** bass **Jason Palmer** drums Steve says, “Throughout my life, music has given me a way to express in sound what I can’t always put into words. I’ve always believed the best measure of a song is its ability to move the listener—to make an audience feel something of what the composer was feeling. Words shouldn’t be necessary. But I thought it might be fun to put that theory to the test. You’ll hear the music first. Then, before I tell you what was behind each composition—the feelings, ideas, motivations, and stories—I want to hear what **you** think. What does the song say to you? What do you hear in it? Are we on the same wavelength? Listen. Make your guess. Then we’ll compare notes. **On second thought…maybe words do have a place after all.**” **This quartet will perform a 90-minute set followed by an after-show mingle with the artists until 10:00 PM**
