About this Death Cafe Come join us at the Shelton McMurphy-Johnson House for a lively discussion about death and dying. Nicknamed "The Castle On the Hill," the SMJ House is a historic landmark that provides a beautiful and intimate atmosphere for us to have our discussion. Death Cafe is NOT a grief support or therapy group although we do talk about our experiences with grief and death. Our main goal is to help people become more comfortable with the concepts of death and dying through sharing personal stories and experiences. Conner and Lynda have combined experience in many topics including hospice, end of life care, burial options, Death Doulas, end of life documents. With that being said, we also know that topics surrounding death and dying are touchy for most people, and we want to do our absolute best to make everyone feel welcome without shying away from the topics at hand. Refreshments (tea, cookies) will be provided. This event is open to everyone 18 years or older. Please note: Entry closes at 6:35 PM - NO EXCEPTIONS.
