With Diana Patin. Weekly class session; register for the series at Maude Kerns Art Center. Non-Members $230. Refresh your love of drawing and painting while rendering botanical subjects in a stylized manner. Practice techniques of careful observation through photo references and simplifying the most identifiable characteristics of giant leaves, edible fruits and vegetables, and other flora. Learn to add color and depth to your sketches using opaque medium to paint over them. Each class, you will follow along as the instructor demonstrates in real time, allowing the space for questions and explanations on how to approach the drawings in a specific manner. Join us and come away from this class with 1-2 finished works of art and techniques to continue your practice at home.
